Review on Uniden Bearcat Scanner with FM Radio πŸ“» - 500 Channels, Model BC365crs: The Ultimate Scanning Power by Jake Pavelko

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best value for money

So far so good - received it today and coordinated it with my local emergency/weather service and programmed my favorite FM radio stations. Two things I was really impressed with was the signal strength - for an antenna smaller than most car antennas, it picks up a lot more than my car ever has. The second is the speaker. WOW, this kid can make a serious sound. I only have it halfway on and I can hear it throughout the house. Headphone jack if you want to connect something more. The backlight is very nice and the little things like sleep after 60 minutes, scan lock, 500(!) memory banks to store frequencies and the auto scanner function for EMS/Fire/Weather/Air/Navy/Police are really cool when you are you not sure about their local codes. It has all the features you would expect from a good scanner for less than $100. I've always liked Uniden (they made home phones and other high end electronics). It's the same kind of high quality - buttons, buttons, everything seems very solid. This might be the last scanner I'll ever need!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Good for the most part, but...
