New design not working (edited)

I have had a Frigidaire fridge for 8 years and had to order my 16th filter change. The previous devices have fitted and worked perfectly, but the manufacturer has changed something in the design that does not allow the filter to snap into place. It seems that it popped up completely, but the first time you press the water button, the filter flies out of the hole, splashing water everywhere. Typical cheap sea stuff! Now my water dispenser and ice maker are not working. I have photos that clearly show that the lock on the front of the filter has changed slightly which is causing the problem. With all the complaints, I just can't believe Frigidaire hasn't fixed this yet. did not fit in the fridge like the previous 15 in the last 7 years and the customer service rep told me that they have changed the design of the filters and are sending a technician FREE to the customer to update the filter unit in the fridge. I'm updating my rating to 5 stars because the filters always provide quality drinking water and the excellent customer service from Frigidaire (Electrolux) upgraded the filtration system in my fridge for FREE after owning it for 8 years. The callback number to give your local repair company for a free chassis modification is RF-1210
