Review on Norpro Nonstick Grapefruit Knife - Squirtless, 8.75 inch, Yellow and Red by Robert Gilbert

Great value, utility and quality

I haven't had a grapefruit in years and I live in Florida! I recently bought her bag for reasons unknown. OK, now what? I googled how to eat a grapefruit and quickly realized I needed a serrated, curved grapefruit knife. To be honest I bought this one because it looked cool. I've eaten 4 grapefruits since I bought it. There are instructions on the box, but if you've never done this before, I recommend doing a quick online search for the information, as the box instructions aren't 100% intuitive. The handle is made of plastic and the blades are made of metal. The blades are strong. The steak knife is strong. I don't mind eating the core lines, so I didn't use a double blade puller, but I've tried it and it seems to work fine. The curved paring blade is sharp enough to "go through meat almost like butter". But it will take a lot of force or abuse to cut yourself. This is a big plus. The dual-blade side knives are a bit sharper, but it still takes some force to cut your finger. As I've only used it 8 times (4 grapefruit halved) I have no idea of the shelf life. I recommend this product for safety, aesthetics and value.
