It works really well. It is very durable and very sharp and works as advertised. The only problem I see is that there are two cutters on one side to cut the sides or the membrane, but if you have poor eyesight this will be difficult. Also, I recommend this remedy to people who eat grapefruit!

I bought this as an impromptu gift for my wife who grew up with a grapefruit tree seeing the amount of work she puts in cutting both sides of each membrane. I figured this would result in a 40% reduction in effort. She reports that the twin blades take as long to align as it takes to cut both sides, and because they're serrated, they make a juicy mess, even squirting in her eyes. Although it looks nice.

The two blades on the straight side touched instead of having a small gap, making the grapefruit difficult to slice. When I tried to pull them apart to keep them apart, the two blades slipped out of their mounts a little, causing them to pull apart a bit, making it difficult to use again. I buy another product because I am disappointed.

This grapefruit knife would be great if it were sharper. It's kind of sad. This little tool is AMAZING! I had no idea it existed until I googled "easy way to peel a grapefruit" and saw some videos. Grapefruit as a second step fits perfectly with the fruit and leaves nothing on the peel. It took me less than 2 minutes to cut a grapefruit in half and make a bowl of fruit and juice. The best part is no mess! Don't spill juice everywhere.
