I read the reviews and watched videos about them and finally bought them. We installed a cedar bar at my son's house and didn't want any brackets to pound on. I was worried they might not be heavy enough; but very hardworking! Please note that the 4 holes are countersunk to ensure a flat surface when you place the bar on top. You assemble by inserting screws into the 4 countersunk ends of the top pony wall rail (we also added liquid nails for extra strength). Then we ran liquid nails all over the top pony wall rail (1/2 wall) and placed the cedar bar counter where we wanted. Insert screws into 2 parallel holes and fix bar counter. Ready! Again it has proven to be great and very reliable. We used 3 mounts for the 50" top.
