Works great, but only for a few years.

This can be a "you get what you pay for” lesson. The router is great! Very strong signal. Unfortunately, the 2.4 GHz frequency stopped working after about a year and a half. (Previously I was able to reboot the router and it would boot again, but this time it just failed completely.) In short, if you want a really good, high-performance router for under $50, go for it you further and hopefully yours will last longer . than 1.5 years.
