I am including this review so that anyone looking to replace their 49TYD-16A1 engine is properly informed that this engine is not a viable replacement or replacement is. This motor is 1W more powerful than the 49TYD-16A1 motor and the plug used to rotate the turntable in your microwave oven is shorter and does not reach when the motor is installed. This is not a replacement for the 49TYD-16A1 engine. Many ads with this model number will appear when looking for a replacement for the 49TYD-16A1 engine. Do not believe it, just search and find the 49TYD-16A1 engine. I was lucky enough to find a guy in New York who collects equipment, hauls away working parts, and then sells them. Much luck.
