Looks like a good replacement for my microwave motor but the plastic shaft is much thicker than the original metal shaft. As a result, the platter that spins the turntable has cracked so hopefully a turntable replacement platter will fit better.

Worked great, turntable worked... We have a Frigidare microwave and it flooded and the turntable stopped working. The replacement had to be adjusted slightly, but nothing happened. No need to call a mechanic :-) $6 repair. Actually, I almost bought a new microwave, but this motor is great! The delivery was fast too!

From the product description I thought it would definitely fit in my Whirlpool Microwave. Although this particular model was not mentioned. The shaft turned out to be a fraction of an inch larger (in diameter) so I filed it down to fit. Luckily it was too big and not too small. That's how I was able to get it working. Otherwise he was perfect.

The spindle in this appliance is much bigger than in my microwave. My spindle doesn't fit. Otherwise it is an exact match. Why would you change something so important in an operation? To edit. I used a dremel tool to remove a few thousand from the D spindle and it works great. It's still awful to have the same part number for parts with different specs, but alas. We do what we have to do. Microwave is fine.

If you try to save some money by buying an 8A19 motor instead of an 8A motor you will find that the two motors are not the same size. 8A19 spins just as well as 8A, but you can't mount a microwave turntable on the motor shaft. I suppose you could cut off some of the plastic part of the spinner and "make" a shaft mount out of it, but I didn't want to and may have done more work for me. Functionally the engine may be fine, but replacing 8A with 8A19 will not work.
