After 12 years our Dyson DC14 finally doesn't work like this anymore. After checking, it turned out that the belt was slipping and the striker bar was not rotating enough. Wanted to order a new belt and came across this one. For a little more money you get 2 new belts and a clutch assembly, no brainer. I ordered and received within 2 days. My son actually replaced it in about an hour without a special belt tool. Also, it takes some time to clean it while disassembled. Make sure you have a set of screwdriver style torx bits. There's a torx screw that's hard to reach as it's deeply embedded in the plastic. Also, it's a very narrow space for a bit to fit. Our DC14 works again as it should.
