I ordered these gas struts to install onto a cedar chest lid. I knew when I ordered them that no mounting hardware came with them, so I purchased them separately. The standard size of most strut sleeves is 10mm. These struts have 8mm sleeves, which aren't sold anywhere. If the manufacturer is going to have a specific size sleeve that is different from everyone else, the mounting hardware should come with it. I'm returning these and have already purchased replacements that actually work. If mounting hardware came with these, I would give it a 5-star review.
