Bought in preparation for some remodeling work I need to do around the house (bathroom, kitchen) where I need to strip old steaming plumbing valves and replace them with new ones and these valves are very close to the walls. Haven't done a facelift yet but tested the effectiveness of this product by setting it on fire. It only looks like the material could catch fire, but it didn't; after the experiment it smelled burnt. The burned area did not flake or crumble. So the product seems to be holding up. I consent to using this for the purpose above. I would double the layers just to make sure the wall I'm trying to protect doesn't burn down.
