Used for bird hunting. The experience of operating a compact telephoto lens showed a clear shortage of 250 mm for this purpose. Of the longer focal lengths, this one seemed to be the most successful. The first thing I noticed in the photographs was the blurring of the background. The pattern and blur quality are very nice. The lens focuses very quickly, there is the possibility of high-quality shooting in tracking autofocus mode. In general, there are no complaints about image quality. Ergonomics are somewhat worse. The unusual zooming mechanism ("spyglass") takes some getting used to. The smoothness of the movement is regulated by a ring, next to the focus ring, if you turn it with one hand, both will rotate, so it will be problematic to point at the object, set the zoom and fix it at the same time. And you often have to use this ring, because in a tight position you canโt pull out the tube, and in a relaxed position it stretches out by itself when the camera hangs on your neck. If you carry a lens hood with you "just in case", then in the stowed position it closes the focus ring. The lens kit is all-inclusive: lens hood, tripod ring, carrying case. The latter is especially true, since the lens does not fit into standard bags even with the zoom folded. In general, I highly recommend this lens if there is a shortage of focal lengths for amateur televisions. Even taking into account the fact that the lens is dark, the quality of the photos will please you very much.
