Polar is a great brand. They make equipment for professional athletes, so accuracy is important. However, it looks like they put it into production before it was properly configured. My device failed to sync with my phone and PC. Support specialists said they performed a factory reset which failed twice. As soon as I finally completed the factory reset, the device started stuttering in the heart rate reports (dotted lines were reported instead of the actual readings). Then the sleep function started reporting several hours of being awake when I was actually sleeping. The web service failed to validate the time zone settings, so the sleep report showed I was sleeping six hours later than the actual time. The Nightly Recharge feature started crashing in reports, resulting in the SparkFit feature getting stuck with the same settings every day. I sent it back over a week ago and still no word or refund of the device. I really can't give the Ignite a high rating if the device is broken, brand new, out of the box. Edit 9/22/19 After several months and a replacement, the device is still not working. When I move I get random inactivity markers. I also have complete sleep apnea. Software crash, after replacement and after factory reset still occurs. "100% not yet complete" I am 100% sure that this device is not working yet. Edit 09/01/20 After working with me for several months to investigate the issues I was having, Polar replaced my device again before Christmas. . The replacement works so far. I'm still having trouble sleeping due to incorrect movements or heart rate loss from the device, but it seems to be working better than it was. No more "100% not yet full" when I charge my device. Edit 12/29/20 Four devices and four failures. Support is kind enough to send me a replacement before I send the defective unit back. Unfortunately, the fourth doesn't work well either. The device is still tracking sleep before I go to bed, the battery has drained in just over a day, and it's having trouble reading continuous heart rate readings. When I work hard without running any program, the readings on the device are very low. As soon as I start the program, the device immediately jumps to 20-30 beats per minute. Sometimes when I'm just using my hands, the device shows very high beats per minute (167 beats per minute) when I'm sitting. Not accurate, not reliable, I'm not impressed at all. I will try another brand as 2 years with A370 and 2 years with Ignite have not proven Polar devices to work.
