These hangers looked great on the job site but they don't work very well. They're easy to install, but attaching the wire to the hanger is next to impossible unless you have an extra hand to open the hook. The material is so soft that the hook just bends down when you try to put the wire on the hanger (see photo). You have to open the hook with a screwdriver or pliers, which makes it very difficult to place the wire on the hanger without using both hands. This can be quite a challenge when hanging Christmas lights on the stairs. In addition, the hooks are very small, so it is very difficult to open them with hands, so some kind of tool is needed. They might work for something that can be hung once and left up, but not for Christmas lights. I will return them.
