I bought 2 of these shelves and the shelves themselves are well made and solid. However, double-sided tape is a problem. As I laid one, I noticed that it was crooked. As I carefully and patiently tried to pull it out, a hole formed in the wall of the apartment. Wonderful. I then removed all the debris from the wall and repasted it. I wasn't sure if I needed to give the tape some time to set, so I decided to install the shelves overnight without anything, just to be on the safe side. both fell to the ground. I will buy better 2 sided tape and try again.
