Review on 🪵 Woodstock D3805 Bowl Gouge 8 Inch: Perfect Tool for Precise Woodworking by Joe Fulce

One of the edges of the groove about 3 inches from the tip has been smoothed as if a notch or a notch large dent would have been discarded. This is a problem because my sharpener sits behind the edges of the groove and tilts the point profile as it sharpens. I suspect this problem will go away over time after the tool wears out and the jig is no longer in that area. This problem should have been spotted by the Quality department and this particular tool was not even meant to be sold. Shipping took so long that instead of returning the tool, I'm just fixing the problem. I simply place a gasket on a damaged flute and check that the jig is in the correct position when sharpened. Strong tool and steel is good hss, it turns well.
