I've been using it for a few weeks now and that's what I think of it. I had a very old aroma kettle that was over 10 years old and still works great, I just wanted something new. I really didn't need one with selectable heating levels. I only drink black tea (212º/red) but thought it might work for my hot chocolate (with marshmallow fluff) on winter evenings. When enabled I have to play with the settings to get the cooking setting. Sometimes I have to cycle through all the heat settings, other times I can just press the on/off button. * The light no longer works even at lower heating levels! They change color when I put the kettle on the heating pad, but then they don't light up. * Water spills out the sides if tilted at all. * The particle sieve is curved, and when water is poured, it is ugly, straight down the drain. There is a piece of plastic in the center of the screen that causes water to flow out in two streams. does not exceed. * May cause the strainer to break for easier cleaning, and I think it's better for pouring hot water. Not bad for the price I paid for it (now listed for a few bucks more). If I last a year it will be good. I use it every day at least 6-10 times a day.
