Adhesive from label sticks to tray surface

Good tray but I can't remove the glue and part of the paper from the label. The size is good. I was planning to use it for my watercolor mixing palette. I soak overnight. If there is no improvement. i will return it I don't like going to great lengths to remove glue from an object.

It arrived warped and would have been useless even if it hadn’t. The sides are too high.
