I bought this pump for a 2012 Kawasaki Teryx Sport. The original part number was 9040-0041 and online catalogs listed part number 9040-0718 as the updated replacement. The listing states that the HFP-A490 is a direct replacement for both of these pumps. When I received the new pump it was 16 inches from the sensor to the top flange. The old pump was 10 inches long. I called HFP customer service and they found my model pump and said I needed a shorter pump that they didn't have in stock. Luckily, I was able to remove the center extension, connect the top and bottom, and move the fuel gauge to the bottom bracket. It worked like magic, my fuel pressure is perfect and my Teryx has never run better. The factory pump was $670 so this pump was a great bargain. I would recommend calling HFP customer service before ordering to ensure you are ordering the correct pump.
