The original sensor on my 97 Dodge Dakota was destroyed during some gearbox work and I had to replace it with a spare part. Worked fine for a day and then had severe misfires and stopping issues along with a missing camshaft/crankshaft sensor code. Read the reviews here and spend your money on the more expensive part and it will work! This is probably the only genuine part you need to buy as the sensor specs are very strict and the aftermarket will not fit. The difference in quality is very clear. So if you need it for Dakota or Durango, take it. Non-genuine parts will not work.
