High quality kit with many styles to meet most haircut needs

Absolutely beautiful to look at on my countertop. In general, the knives are fairly balanced behind the bolster. They fit my hand well, and when I'm using knives with large handles and a pinch handle, my pinky loves to slip into the cut portion of the handle. In some corners it helps with stability while others are a little annoying to feel a few sharp edges in the notch and my pinky comes loose. They were all sharp, at least for most of the blade's length, and passed paper tests for vertical cuts. The duller areas on some were at the front ends and closer to the pads, roughly the same places I also experience inconsistency when using whetstones to sharpen. I've been using this set for about 3 months, some knives daily, others weekly or bi-monthly and so far I haven't had to sharpen them. I hand wash them and dry them immediately after use and they never see a dishwasher to help them dull faster. Separate blocks are convenient. I take a small block of serrated steak knives to the dining table instead of taking individual knives. Just like the smaller device with the utility and paring knives, I take the whole device next to the sink or counter to make a side dish. Because these knife blocks hold the knives upright, not only do they have a smaller footprint and take up less counter space compared to a tilting block, but they also require your overhead cabinets to be fairly high so that you can pull out your knife blocks without breaking the bank move block forward. Overall I think this is a good set with a wide range of knives for most cutting needs and if used on proper cutting surfaces and care and maintenance this set should last for decades. Thanks very much!
