It works better than some of the 'generic' camera that I have

As stated in the headline, it works better than some of the generic cameras that I have all of which have automatic IR cut filters. Principally, it gives a better quality picture in both day and night modes and to me is worth the increased cost over the generic cameras that I have. Night vision is not quite as good as some of the commercial security cameras that I have used, but is acceptable.
