Review on Linksys AE6000 Wireless Mini USB Adapter AC 580 Dual Band - Compact and Powerful Connectivity Solution by Ronald Bleimeyer

This little device works great with Windows 7 and 2.4GHz WiFi hence the 3 stars. On 100 Mbit FiOS I get 64 down and 34 up at 2.4 GHz. So I cannot in good conscience give this product 1 star due to my own embarrassment. This product was originally manufactured in 2012/2013, many reviews were made in 2015. For some reason I didn't read the reviews (first mistake) and thought I'd buy a new Linksys product. (second error) that supports Windows 10 and 5 GHz WiFi. Fortunately, when I upgraded my computer from Windows 7 to Windows 10, the upgrade software (thanks Microsoft!) warned me that this device did not work with Windows 10. So instead of being stuck with a useless network card, I abandoned Windows 7 until I could afford a new one. Update: Although the Windows 10 update complained that there is no support for this product, it still works for me on Windows 10 with Windows drivers. In any case, do yourself a favor and buy a 5 GHz capable device.
