I have been making signposts for almost 30 years. When my bits became dull I took them to my local sharpening service. At $7.50 per bit, less than half of that was properly processed. I ended up giving them away or selling them on eBay. Quite by accident, the client, who turned out to be a professional carpenter, told me about Trend Stone. I ordered one thinking I had nothing to lose but a few bucks if it didn't work. The product arrived very quickly and I immediately drove to the workshop to try it out. The results are amazing! Four or five passes on each side of my Freud V-groove cutter gave me sharper edges than new ones. Unbelievable! I would even recommend using this stone on new bits - carbide on the 600 side and HSS on the 300 side. Make sure you get the lapping fluid and cleaning block with the stone. I promise you won't regret it. I used to spend at least $600 a year on V-Beats. No longer!
