Description of πŸ“± DWS CC FC Double Sided Trend

Double sided stone has fine 600 grit (25 micron) for razor sharp edges and coarse 300 grit (45 micron) to bring worn tools back to new. Double sided means you need only one stone - not several grades. Keep in your wallet for on job site, in garden or in the woods. Ideal for carbide and HSS tools. Apply gentle pressure and use with Trend lapping fluid.

I have decided to purchase a Trend 3" diamond card to sharpen my carbide wood router bits and have been very happy with the results so far. I am a little concerned that the grit on the card will wear off a bit I expected but understand that this is considered "normal" and will not affect sharpness in any way.Time will tell but it should be noted that the trend card comes with a 5 year guarantee At this point I would certainly recommend the trend card for the cheaper and (perhaps) less durable…

Pros
  • Double ended rod has 600 (25 micron) fine grit for sharp edges and 300 (45 micron) coarse grit to turn worn tools back into new ones

The 600 diamond coating will wear off after a few uses.

I purchased this item on recommendation from Stumpy Nubs. I've used it to give a fresh edge to 2" and 1.5" straight router bits. Like the other reviewer, the device worked great on first use, good on second use, satisfactory on third use, and is basically a metal card after that. I often sharpen tools including chisels, planer knives and router bits. The product says it has a 5 year guarantee which I will honor. However, due to the rapid wear and tear of wear and tear, I cannot recommend this…

Pros
  • Apply light pressure and use with Trend Lapping Fluid
Cons
  • Older model

When my beats got tired I gave them to a local store.

I have been making signposts for almost 30 years. When my bits became dull I took them to my local sharpening service. At $7.50 per bit, less than half of that was properly processed. I ended up giving them away or selling them on eBay. Quite by accident, the client, who turned out to be a professional carpenter, told me about Trend Stone. I ordered one thinking I had nothing to lose but a few bucks if it didn't work. The product arrived very quickly and I immediately drove to the workshop to…

Pros
  • For work, the garden or the forest in your handbag.
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model.
