It's ok but I would be afraid to use it on a car's transmission sump, it can come loose depending on how often your oil is heated or cooled , another thing If I used it I would put copper washers on it instead of plastic washers, much better chance they will stay tight and not leak, also I would lubricate the threads with 272 Loctite.
