The tip of the knife is rounded. Not the sharp end needed to clean the fish. I don't know if it broke in transit or what, but the product photos show a very sharp spot. The case that comes with it is a joke too. I can perhaps understand why the tip broke when the loose square case was pushed in. It could be great. The blade of the knife was sharp, looks great and had a strong package next to the "sheath". Very disappointed. I'll order a replacement and maybe try to find or make a sheath that fits, but not really hoping for the best result. You will need either a case that fits properly or a properly shaped box to avoid damage in transit. My newest Dalstrong ($120) had similar sheath issues. I'll try again because I love their product. If that happens again, Dalstrong is dead for good. Not paying decent money for a product that is missing something as basic and important as the blade guard.
