I installed this on an older 95 LT1 v8, it really helped increase spark and the car runs well. Please note this was not a standard motor. It has a large cam, ported heads and distributors. One more note. I also have an MSD coil but still use the standard Opti-Spark distributor. One thing that makes a big difference is using the correct oil seal on the distributor. Once I finally installed the correct oil seal, which looks like a stock oil seal, all the problems with the Opti Spark went away after I cleaned the oil inside. No need to spend money on a distributor 595.00 MSD. I've only heard bad things about them. this Opti Spark distributor only cost 45.99
