Well-made thread restorer for right-hand or left-hand threads from 5/32 " to 3/4 ".

I was rebuilding a transmission from an old photo booth when I discovered that the 1/2" X 20 left hand thread end of the main driveshaft was damaged. I requested a 1/2" left hand hand thread. Yarn dye at a major hardware store but they didn't have it. I found this thread restorer at Revain and although it was quite expensive I decided to give it a try and the damaged part was out of stock. Although it took a while, about half an hour, I was able to save the shaft. Just make sure the size range is right for your project. This is a very high quality tool that will last for many years.
