Review on Lens Zeiss Otus 1.4/55 ZF.2 by Cakra Buana ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality product, the price is commensurate with the quality.

In conclusion, I’ll add: nothing like this has been done before this lens. I did not hold the Noctor 58 / 1.2 in my hands, however, in the reviews of the owner of both glasses, it was said that Otus outplayed this legend on all fronts. Holding this glass in your hands and taking pictures with it is a pleasure. Has pros: - Constructive - glass and metal, made for centuries. - Metal hood. - Very comfortable in the hand, pleasant to the touch, smooth body, smooth, rubber focusing ring, but no grip problems. - The focusing ring rotates 270 degrees, very gently, I don’t even know what it can be compared with - I didn’t experience any problems with focusing even when shooting handheld at a fully open aperture and a short distance. - Aperture. - I can say one thing about sharpness - no one has done anything like this 35mm lens before, 1.4 edges are sharper than many lenses I have encountered. - Color rendition is neat, without pretensions for embellishment or without failures, very correct. - The bokeh is just amazing, and it changes in some wonderful way when you close the aperture. - A weight that works better than any image stabilizer. - Resolution - 36 mp just breaks and asks for something even more megapixel. - Suitable for both old cameras - the ability to set the aperture manually, and for modern ones. - Very moderate distortion. - Vignetting is minimal, almost non-existent. - The complete absence of visible HA. Has some cons - I will take the liberty of forgiving him his price and the lack of dust and moisture protection for all his positive aspects)))
