Review on Upgraded Edelbrock EPS 800 Square-Bore Electric Choke Carburetor by Tyler Blake

Replaced my old Quadrajet and I am very happy with the performance of my Chevy 396. Easy and quick replacement. The Edelbrock worked perfectly right out of the box, the only adjustment was the throttle idle setting. A few things to consider when trading Quadrajet for Edelbrock. 1) You may need to install an in-line gas filter. 2) Depending on your intake manifold type, you may need an adapter for a new carburetor. 3) Not all air purifiers are right for Edelbrock, but fortunately, Edelbrock makes beautiful, high-quality, and affordable air purifiers. I recommend installing a new carburetor and then measuring the hood gap before deciding on an air cleaner.
