Product review after just over 1 year Fitted: Brakes replaced with Duramax on all 4 in March 2016. I figured a factory part from AC Delco should be good. At first glance, the caliper looks good. Installation was very easy. The sliding pins moved easily and the hardware was excellent. What can go wrong? A week later the caliper started to rust. This was surprising as the caliper surface had some kind of finish and not just cast iron. Not correct. After a few weeks it got tough. I've now ordered the driver's side as well, but after receiving it I found the caliper was NFG. They restored the core, which was beyond repair. Just a note: look at the construction area. If it says USA it should be fine as the passport page was made there. If it says Made in Mexico. send it back I had 2 delivered from Mexico on the driver's side and both calipers were removed from the box. huge chunks of metal from the bracket wore out and many parts were not replaced. I was trying to get the pump out of one of them. it was captured. The bleed looked fine, but upon closer inspection it turned out that the old bleed was in place and had just been blown out along with the rest of the caliper. I needed a driver side caliper anyway, so I went to Napa and bought them. So both front calipers were new at the same time. As I said, the passport page kept looking worse and worse. From the driver's side it still looks like new. "Napa is really covering the caliper in black paint" In June 2017, while driving on a local road, he noticed the steering wheel pulling to the left. When I stopped, I noticed smoke in the front right. When I went to check, smoke was coming out of the brake system. Picked up a truck and drove to my shop, removed the wheel and buckled the caliper. couldn't even move the piston back. The brake caliper stuck. After I managed to remove the caliper, I took it apart. Both guide pins are rusted. The phenolic piston is also stuck in the bore. I put the Napa caliper back in and the world was god again. plus a rotor replacement because I noticed heat cracks and a new set of pads on both sides because the friction material cracked and flaked. IMHO, if you change brakes, buy them in Napa. Not Autozone or Advance because they are rubbish and likely to last less. Not to say the Napa is better, probably still made in the same GZ factory as everything else, but at least everything is new and they're covered in anti-rust, plus I haven't had any issues with them.
