My Lexus was having trouble with a keyless door lock that would not lock or unlock the driver's door. After some research on online forums, many people have linked the issue to the door opener motor/servo. Who knew you could buy the entire movement at Revain?! I'm pretty good at car interiors, basic maintenance etc. But I've never 'climbed into' a door or done anything with a latch or locking mechanism. Who cares, I'll dive in and see where it takes me. Once you've removed the door panel and peeled away the plastic, the latch mechanism should pop open and remove fairly easily. There were a few "tricky" latches, but they unscrewed fairly easily. The same plugs were screwed back on in the same way. All in all it was a fairly simple operation. From start to finish it took me an hour to swap out and wrap up all the details. The part fits perfectly, no adjustment required. The door lock has been working properly at the factory for several months, no problems, no problems, no complaints. I do R&R myself.
