I'm a big fan of birds. 365 days a year, no matter what the weather, I get out at dawn and put on lots of bird feeders and refreshing bird baths. My heart breaks when I hear a knock and realize that one of my visitors has bumped into the window. Closed blinds did not remove glare from the glass. I bought some of these window deflectors and covered the tops of 6 large windows (the bottom is protected by heavy black screens) and 2 storm doors. I installed them in September 2019. I waited to review until they were tested for all four seasons. I am happy to report that there were no bird strikes. I'm at home all day so I know if there are any accidents. Many different birds fly further north here in the spring (I live in Maine) and I have a wide variety of summer birds. The full-time crew returned to the bird feeders for the winter: tits, juncos and of course the ubiquitous blue jays. Everyone stayed safe. The deflectors are easy to assemble. The upper window is divided into 6 parts. I used a glass sticker. None of them came off and I clean all windows about every 3 months.
