Avoid drilling carpets! if you can't much luck. I could not.
It was difficult for me to install this heater. There were no instructions for installing the support brackets. First I tried to attach the brackets to the floor, in front where they ended. Between that and drilling the carpet could be a lot more difficult. I also had trouble installing the hoses that go to the back of the heater. I finally made it, but it was difficult again. I took it to Bob Steinman of Tubes n Hoses in Tucson and he thought it looked good. He has been installing heating and air conditioning for over 40 years.
