Because this lock was rated a 98 by Consumer Reports, I bought it with confidence. After finally installing it, I downloaded the app. The second time I tried to use the app it asked me to sign in again with my password and then sent an email with a code to complete the sign up. Awkward - impossible actually if I was blocked and the email was in my computer. I calibrated the lock but every time I went back to the main page to select the lock it prompted me to calibrate it again. When I checked the state of the lock (open or closed) there was nothing on either screen to tell me. After each action, the application returned "an unknown error occurred". Finally, the large button inside, whose function could be selected, did nothing. I've come to the conclusion that this lock doesn't work as well as the simple lever we used to lock and unlock the door, so I'm sending the lock back.
