I've been waiting for this company to come out with this product for 4 months because they seem to be the only company that makes hardcover cases for the X1 Carbon series. I noticed last week that they finally released this product and placed my order. First, the clear coat has a rainbow effect and is cloudier in some areas than others. Aesthetics aside, I noticed an odd rub when opening and closing my laptop. I decided to take a look between the bottom of the screen and the bottom of the laptop when I noticed the bottom of the lid rubbing against the bottom of the screen! I noticed a few scratches and damage resulting from this. I'm contacting Lenovo to find out how much it would cost to fix this corruption, but I doubt that company will support their product or even bother to respond. I will go with the Dbrand skin instead as their products are always of great quality and fit and finish. Attention users! EDIT: I realize my review didn't make it clear what areas this case struggled with, and I didn't get a chance to snap a few shots before returning it. There are other Amazon reviewers who have since made similar claims, adding photos to show where this hardcover falls short.
