Thermometer works well; Calibration checked, quick response. Plus, the backlight is effective, the screen is easy to read, and the spare battery in the package is a nice touch. Definitely worth what I paid and I'm glad I got it. Two (small) downsides to this product: The instructions are pretty bad. I managed to figure out how to use these features, but it took more time and fiddling than it should have. No probe clip with cable. I sometimes use it to check the temperature in a pot and a clip to hold the probe in place and hang it off the ground would be very handy. I made something out of a paper clip, but I need something better.
