Still working on it

So I got a new Lenovo work laptop and needed everything to work from home and bought a Baseus hub. First, the hub comes with 1 USB-C to USB-C adapter, which is great. However, no power cord is supplied as it is optional and has a power cord connector. I went and bought VDI to HDMI cables for monitors. All plugged in and oh my goodness two old AOC monitors that are about 8 years old still work perfectly. So backup plan 2: I have a mini hub that I bought with my personal Lenovo Yoga in December 2019. Connected 1 HDMI via Lenovo Personal Hub, 2nd HDMI via Lenovo eork laptop and internet connection via Baseus Hub, yes, contact. I just spent all this money just to hook everything up to a laptop and all that worked was ethernet? Should I buy new monitors now or just return the hub.OMG. I'll try again, but not everyone can buy new monitors, and I was hoping that I could do it without a plan B. So first look, if the monitors are old, then it might be difficult. I work in IT so I have some skills. I had high hopes and it's a really good center but I'll try again and provide an update. Beware of old monitors, then you may encounter problems and take this into account. Update 3/5/2020 - I connected my laptop's USB-C power adapter to the PD port and Baseus provided a USB-C to USB-C cable for the second PD. port and the other end to the PD port of the laptop. Hooray, now I have a contact and can see both monitors. You'll also need to reconfigure the laptop so it doesn't go into sleep mode when it's on. So far, so good. I will update if anything changes.
