I archived all my family photos and videos on this drive and kept it on the shelf for several months. When I plugged it back into my desktop computer, the drive was no longer visible. The LED is on, the bell in Windows is off, but there is no disk on This PC. I'm so glad I have backup copies of my photos on other drives, otherwise I would be devastated! What good is a durable drive if it won't last less than a year on your shelf? Buy this drive if you want to risk losing all your valuable data. Now it's a brick. Whatever you do, DO NOT use this drive to archive anything.
