***OnePlus is slowing down performance in most applications I use*** I've been using OP for a few years now. I've been waiting for the new OP9 model cameras as this has traditionally been a "compromise" for previous models. I've read about battery and heat issues reported by several users when launching the product. But it looks like it has already been fixed in the latest updates. So I decided to buy it. Unfortunately the OP resorted to application throttling to solve these battery/heat issues. IMHO, that's just unacceptable. Please google "Throttle OnePlus" and you will find many reports about it. According to the news, this throttling affects not only Chrome but all apps I use for work. I couldn't believe it. So I run a test against OP5T. The results are stunning. OP9 is much slower than the 4 year old model. See attached images for test results. So if you buy a Snapdragon 888 processor, you're not getting one (at the time of writing this review). If you can live with that, you get a great screen and a good camera. Who knows, maybe they'll do another FW update and give the user the option to choose "Performance" or "Battery". Consider this carefully before purchasing.
