Review on KYB 344400 Excel G Gas Shock by Jeremy Meza

Revainrating 2 out of 5

One good One bad good for shocks, struts and suspension

I ordered two of these for my truck to replace both sides of the front. The driver's side damper is fine, but the passenger's side damper broke on top and got stuck in my coil spring after 4 months. I travel a lot. 2-3 hours daily to work and back. and the ride gets pretty bumpy at times. So I wanted to order a better brand, but I've had $15 "good now and replace later" shock absorbers that lasted much longer. and they didn't even break. This is what I used to replace those $15 shocks, and I only replaced them because I didn't want the $15 shocks to stay on my truck for too long. It works to the shock, which breaks me just trying to upgrade my shocks to a higher quality. Kyb Monomax is great quality and still on my back after 5 years. They're too stiff for my forehand, but Excel-G rolls over bumps much more smoothly. Spring. we.
