Description of KYB 344400 Excel G Gas Shock

KYB recommended OEM replacement shock. Specifically calibrated to help restore the original handling and control characteristics of the Dodge Ram. Uses a seamless working cylinder matched with a Teflon coated piston band for a positive seal and longer life. Triple chrome plated piston rod and multi-lip oil seals that reduce wear. Solid seamless mounting eye rings and bolt bushings to eliminate rattles. Fit type: Vehicle Specific.

Unreliable shock absorber, not worth it

I bought these shocks for my automotive suspension hoping for a smoother ride, but they failed to perform .I noticed the car bouncing excessively, and when i took them apart, the fluid had leaked out. The design seems flimsy, and I wouldn`t recommend the product to anyone..

One good One bad good for shocks, struts and suspension

I ordered two of these for my truck to replace both sides of the front. The driver's side damper is fine, but the passenger's side damper broke on top and got stuck in my coil spring after 4 months. I travel a lot. 2-3 hours daily to work and back. and the ride gets pretty bumpy at times. So I wanted to order a better brand, but I've had $15 "good now and replace later" shock absorbers that lasted much longer. and they didn't even break.
