I was very excited when I found them as I couldn't find a specific spoon by myself. When I saw her I knew my mother in law would love her for her birthday. They arrived well packaged. When she opened it, what appeared to be a blue permanent marker was attached to one of the white pens along with a ribbon. It came off after a few washes. However, after the first use, one spoon has a few hairline cracks on the end of the wood. That's not normal. My mother in law cooks every day so if there are any other questions I'll let you know. It's really sad. Because they are cute and quite tight to the touch and pupils.
