later Reference; I used this saw to cut a hole in the bottom of a 1.5" cabinet to make room for an exhaust vent. The only reason I can't give this a 5 star rating is what I think is a major design flaw. The center auger screws in, but when you stop the auger the momentum of the saw spins the auger out slightly, throwing the saw away from the auger. I couldn't find any way to prevent this other than making sure it stayed pressed against the tree until it comes to a complete standstill. It seems to me that this is a serious security breach. So it worked fine, but it can do serious damage if you don't realize how easily it can come loose.
