Review on πŸ”§ Dorman 800-153 Steel Fuel Line Repair Kit - 3/8 in. x 18 in. with 16mm Fitting: Enhance Fuel Line Repairs for Select Models by Fred Griffin

Worked great for my application to change the fuel filter in my truck frame.

Not sure why Amazon says it won't fit my car but it worked great to replace my rusted connections to my fuel filter. I had to replace the filter and hoses on both sides of the filter. used a small pipe cutter to remove the filter and lines from both sides. They did a great job bringing everything together. I used one inch wide, two foot long sandpaper with a cloth to clean the steel fuel line. 3/8 inch. You must be careful when ordering these kits as the line can be 3/8 but the fitting can be smaller and will not connect to your filter. My truck is a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, 1500 5.3 engine, 4x4 extended cab, automatic transmission. Canister fuel filter with a 3/8" main fuel line to and from the filter, in the driver's side frame, midway under the truck. I had to improvise as the old plastic bracket holding the fuel filter broke. Thanks to Chevrolet for steel lines, not only fuel but also brakes. Everything rusts over time, but here in northern Michigan, where the roads are salted in winter, they rust quickly. There are also two smaller fuel return lines. This Dorman 800-153 fuel filter repair kit worked great and didn't leak at all. They come with an o-ring and fitting but not the spring shown in the picture. Not sure why they show this, misleading. Also, they should say that for us laypeople it's 3/8 inch. Look at the photos.
