Review on Eddie Bauer Edgewood Plaid Duvet by Zoey Vaughn

What failed! on duvet covers

first let me say that the duvet is very soft and feels very comfortable. The color is exactly what we wanted and fits perfectly! Unfortunately, as soon as we opened the bag, we noticed that the seams had unraveled and knotted with chunks of polyester stuffing wrapped inside. The filler hangs down the edges and is also scattered throughout the comforter itself. When we opened the duvet, the stitching was worse than expected. It looks like the extra seams were never trimmed and tied properly. More like it was just cut off and left hanging. I was expecting better quality from Eddie Bauer, but it's made in China, so it looks like Eddie Bauer gave up on quality altogether. it's a bit short from side to side. Sharing a bed with someone who steals blankets can be annoying, but it's not a deal breaker for us. Care instructions state do not dry clean and use very large commercial machines. So unless you have a fairly powerful household appliance, take it to the laundry to have it cleaned. Overall very disappointed with the quality of the product. For $70 you're hoping to get a blanket that will last more than a few years. I have a feeling that regular washing will clog the seams to the point where they will have to be completely cut out within 3 years. max. Really freaky.
