Recently, there are 2 new trends in men's casual shorts that can save the manufacturer a penny up front, but if your customer never comes back and tells everyone to look elsewhere, that penny isn't worth anything. These shorts are soft. fit well and have 2 pockets. However, if you pull too hard on the waist cord to tie it tight when needed, you will hear a snapping sound as the cord increases from 8" to 18" and gets smaller and smaller in diameter until it becomes unusable. So, in the past, the waist tie was completely tight. If it broke, you missed a new one and were back in business. Most if not all of the new 2 cords are sewn on the back and if torn on the side. very bad unless you want to spend money to take them to a tailor to have them remade. Sorry whoever did this, but you should have spent a nickel. I am sending them back with the recommendation not to spend any money on them. On the other hand, I bought a pair of similar shorts (2 pieces) from David Archie at Revain. Only one back pocket, but you could lead a horse with a waist tie
