Review on Saucony Triumph ISO Men Men's Shoes and Athletic by Rick Bear

Quality runners at a reasonable price

These shoes were only the second pair I have bought from this company but I already knew I was getting a great product. Why? I bought a pair of trail runners seven years ago that have plagued me on runs like Beast, Full Mudder and the like. I've been hurdle racing two years in a row and have easily ridden 100+ miles in clay, sand, mud, lots of mud. Did I mention the training that comes with all of these races? I mean, this company makes quality shoes. There aren't many shoes that can handle even half the run on this terrain. When I noticed the soles of my previous runners getting slippery, I knew I was going to buy a pair of these. I wouldn't recommend taking them on an obstacle course. They're not made for that, but they hold up well on tarmac, packed dirt, and decomposed limestone. These shoes hug my legs like a boa constrictor, a darling that just wants to be hugged. My feet feel fresh after about an hour on the pavement, and the tread has exceeded my expectations and maintained its integrity where many others would start to flatten out to the last layer between road and foam. I've also worn them with jeans a few times because they're so comfortable. The insole is durable and the padding on the tongue and around the ankle feels noticeably better when you put them on. Bring a couple or two.

Pros
  • A very comfortable pair of shoes. I wear them to the gym and for walks. I have zero complaints
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer light shoes.
