This is the simplest webcam we've ever bought. We have it for kids so they can record videos on their laptop. You make them and I transfer them to my phone to send to different families. Your laptop has no internet (on purpose). Yes, we allow them to surf the internet under supervision. 😁 In any case, the webcam head rotates 360 degrees and the clip rotates 180 degrees. Very easy to use. Just plug it into a USB port and a screen will pop up ready for you to use. Camera and image quality are okay. It has a built-in lighting function that makes your videos look more natural. It has a built-in speaker. The only thing missing are clips to fold back and cover the camera lens. I think this is an important security feature that has been overlooked. It's not used for anything with the internet, so it's not a big deal, and we turn it off when not in use. My video is just to show you what it's all about. Basically a webcam and cable. Very simplified and works very well.
